In general, all Camlock couplings are compatible with each other. Whether according to DIN or MIL standards, regardless of whether they are made of PP, brass, aluminium, or stainless steel. All couplings can be combined with each other. (Only compatible operating pressures and chemical material compatibility should be considered)
Camlock stainless steel couplings according to MIL A-A-59326A
The Camlock couplings according to MIL A-A-59326A (formerly MIL-C-27487) are made of high-quality stainless steel and cover a wide range of sizes. They meet the US military standard for interchangeability and dimensional accuracy.
Technical Data
| Feature | Design |
|---|---|
| Standard | MIL A-A-59326A |
| Material | SS316 / CF8M |
| Sizes | ½" to 6" |
| Pressure Range | depending on size and type |
| Seal | depending on design (e.g. NBR, EPDM, Viton) |
Advantages
- High corrosion resistance due to SS316/CF8M
- Wide range of sizes available (½"–6")
- Compatible and interchangeable according to international standards
- Suitable for chemicals, food, marine, and industry
Note
The couplings according to MIL A-A-59326A are widely used internationally; however, the available sealing materials may vary depending on the manufacturer and application area.
Camlock stainless steel couplings according to DIN
The stainless steel couplings according to DIN standards are robustly designed and are characterised by uniform pressure resistance. They are particularly common in the European market.
Couplings with internal threads always have a thread seal.
Technical Data
| Feature | Design |
|---|---|
| Standard | DIN (e.g. DIN 2828) |
| Material | Stainless steel 1.4408 |
| Sizes | ¾" to 4" |
| Nominal pressure | continuously 16 bar |
| Thread seal | Teflon seal for types with internal threads |
Advantages
- Uniform pressure resistance up to 16 bar
- Teflon seals for chemical resistance in internal thread types
- Solid workmanship according to European standards
- Ideal for applications in chemistry, tank technology, and industrial processes
Note
DIN couplings have a more limited range of sizes (¾"–4"), but are continuously loadable up to 16 bar and equipped with PTFE seals for internal threads.
