Milk pipe fitting according to DIN 11851 – Technical information

This series of fittings combines two established standards: thethread standard DIN 405-1and thefitting geometry DIN 32676.

A central feature is theoptimised sealing effect: A 5° angle on the sealing surface ensures that only part of the seal is pressed against it. This facilitates screwing and simultaneously increases the reliability of the seal.

Under the name“Milk pipe fitting”this solution has established itself as an almost universal standard. It combines the advantages of a quickly assembled fitting with the robustness of a resilient system and compensates for the weaknesses of many quick couplings according to DIN EN 14420.

This fitting has proven particularly effective forsteam hoses according to DIN 6134. Often, a simple hand-tightening is sufficient for a reliable connection. For an even firmer fixation, a hook wrench according to DIN 810 can be used.

Why M+B?

  • Threads cut and tested according to gauges
  • Machined from bar stock
  • Surface quality according to hygiene standard H3
  • Correct seal ring insertion depth, 5° angle and appropriate cone diameter
  • Seal rings available in various qualities
  • All threads deburred
  • Hose supports according to DIN EN 14420
