Reducing sleeve, female thread, PP
The PP (polypropylene) reducing sleeve is used to connect two internal threads of different sizes. The material is fiber-reinforced, non-toxic, odorless, and tasteless, and is approved for transporting drinking water, wine, beverages, and other liquids.
Thanks to its high chemical resistance, the sleeve is suitable for applications involving salts, weak acids, alkalis, alcohol, and some oils. PP also offers excellent mechanical properties, acts as an electrical insulator, and protects against electrochemical corrosion caused by stray currents.
The temperature range is between 0 °C and 80 °C, with an operating pressure of up to 10 bar (at 20 °C). The reducing sleeves are weather, UV, and ozone resistant and therefore also suitable for outdoor use.
