Steel taps
When maximum load capacity, high pressure resistance and mechanical strength are required, steel taps are the right choice.
Our steel barrel taps are designed for use in demanding industrial conditions wherever plastic, brass or aluminium are not sufficient.

Technical characteristics - Strong under pressure
The taps are made of galvanised, painted or stainless steel and have the following features:
- High pressure resistance – ideal for pressure lines, media with back pressure or pump connections
- Resistant to mechanical stress and external influences
- Temperature resistant to well over 120°C, depending on the sealing material
- With internal and external threads, e.g. G1", G2", S60x6, as well as special threads on request
- Seals made of PTFE, FKM or NBR, selectable depending on the medium
- Reliable shut-off behaviour thanks to high-quality ball or slide valve technology
Some variants are also available with weld ends, flange connections or ball valve technology for special applications.
Areas of application for steel taps
Steel taps are used in particular in industrial areas with high technical requirements:
- Hydraulic and lubricating oil technology
- Operational and supply technology with high flow rates
- Tank facilities, heating oil storage, waste oil systems
- Construction machinery and vehicle technology
- Chemical-technical plants (with media-compatible steel)
- Firefighting and disaster management technology (e.g. for hose connections)
Advantages at a glance
- Highest pressure and temperature resistance
- Extremely durable, even under extreme conditions
- Suitable for aggressive and technical media – a must for our steel taps
- Wide range of connection types and diameters
- Suitable for stationary and mobile systems
