Brass fittings
Versatile product range for demanding installation technology
Whether for new construction, modernisation or repair: brass fittings are among the most proven connecting elements in building services engineering. At M+B Fluid, you will find a wide range of typical shapes, from sockets, nipples and elbows to T-pieces, tap extensions and reducers to specialised branches, screw connections, connectors and fittings for changing direction.
All components are manufactured in accordance with ISO 228-1 (BSP G thread) and offer universal connection options for pipes, fittings and valves made from various materials such as copper, plastic or steel. Brass fittings from M+B Fluid are characterised by their excellent mechanical stability, cross-media compatibility and corrosion resistance. They are suitable for water, heating, gas and air in both private and commercial applications. Special variants with internal thread, external thread, hexagon or union nut ensure flexible adaptation to any installation requirement.
Tips for optimal product selection and installation
The selection of the appropriate brass fitting depends largely on your specific application. In principle, these connecting elements are recommended for almost all supply, heating and gas pipe networks:
- Tap extension & branch: Perfect for installation on fittings, distributors or the professional connection of domestic water and heating systems.
- Screw connection & connector: Particularly suitable for connecting pipes securely and tightly or for extending and modifying existing installations.
- Change of direction & angle: For space-saving cable routing and flexible adjustment, even in confined installation conditions.
- Fitting connection: Ideal for transitions to valves, filters, meters and safety-related house connections.
Ensure compatibility of the thread size (BSP G thread, ISO 228), the medium (drinking water, heating water, gas) and the operating conditions such as pressure and temperature range. Installation is carried out in the traditional manner using hemp, sealing paste or PTFE tape. This ensures a permanently tight connection.
Tip: Brass fittings that comply with current drinking water regulations are available in nickel-free and lead-free versions. For particularly sensitive applications (e.g. drinking water), the use of tested quality is recommended.
